On Thursday, October 17, Academy hosted Highland for their/its first playoff game of the year on Hondros at 7 p.m. Highland came in after dominating Heath 5-0 in their/its matchup on Tuesday, October 15. Yet the Vikings struck early, notching two first-half goals, as their defense held steady, making the score 2-0 going into halftime. The Vikings kept their foot on the gas, though, as they added three more goals in the second half but let the Fighting Scots sneak in one. Addison M. led the way with a hat trick and added an assist. Academy swept past the Fighting Scots 5-1 and moved on to the third round.

Academy returns to Hondros on Tuesday, October 22, to host the third-seeded Buckeye Valley Barons at 7 p.m. Academy’s previous matchup against them was canceled due to a lack of Buckeye Valley players.
