Coming off of a strong week, sweeping both Bexley and Grandview, the Vikings faced their dominant opponent, Buckeye Valley, on Tuesday, October 8. For the first set, both teams were going toe to toe, trading points back and forth, until the Barons pulled away in a 24-26 victory. The Vikes did not put up much of a fight in the second set, as they lost, 18-25. The Barons took home the Victory winning the third set 19-25, and winning the match 3-0, along with officially cementing themselves as the best team in the CBL.

The Vikes looked to revive themselves after the rough loss, playing Worthington Christian on Thursday, October 10. To lead off, the Vikes took the first set by 22-25. The second set was all Academy, with the large margin of 12-25. The Warriors were no match for the Vikes, who took the third and final set, 17-25.

The Vikings look to cap off their regular season, facing off against Grove City Christian on Tuesday, October 15.
