Field hockey finished its regular season this week, with a tie against Watterson and a victory against Olentangy Liberty. The Vikes ended the season with a 15-1-2 record, including going 7-0-1 in conference play. This ties them with Watterson for first place in the Central Ohio- Eastern Division. The Vikes lone loss came against Upper Arlington.

The team began the week with a pivotal matchup at Bishop Watterson. The two teams were ranked number two and three, respectively, in the state. Furthermore, the winner would take home the Conference Championship. The Vikes held the lead for much of the game, but a last second shot from the Eagles sent the game to overtime. Neither team found much overtime success, and the game ended with a 2-2 tie.

The Vikes had a quick turnaround, traveling to Olentangy Liberty to conclude their regular season. They made light work of Liberty, winning 3-1 with goals from Bradyn C., Katie N., and Sophia S.

The Vikes begin their postseason journey this week. Dates for games are yet to be announced.
