Hosting its annual Viking Invitational on Thursday, October 10, the boys cross country team achieved first with 32 points, 10 points ahead of second-place Buckeye Valley.

Dane C. crossed the line in 10:29.16, winning the two-mile race in a sprint to finish. Chris H. and Henry S. followed in third and fourth, running 10:57.24 and 11:31.76, respectively. Giuseppe P. claimed an eighth-place medal with 11:43.70, and Graham A. rounded out the point-scorers with 17th and 12:50.05.

This win marks JV’s last race and concludes the team’s final run of the regular season. The varsity team will travel to Hilliard Darby for the Division II Central District race on Saturday, October 19, at 12:30 p.m. as they look to qualify for regionals.
