On Saturday, September 21, students congregated in the Dining Hall for a Star Wars-themed homecoming. This was the first time CA has brought this theme to homecoming, and you could tell the students were excited for something new. The dance was well set up, with donuts, popsicles and fruit punch for snacks. Themed decorations and props including models of Star Wars characters band lightsabers. Additionally, a DJ played favorite songs which made for a great atmosphere.
Sophomore Billy G., a student-council member, and member of the Homecoming committee said, “I think we had the best homecoming CA has seen in a long time. We had so many more people come than we ever imagined, and we were glad to see everyone dancing and having fun. The DJ was spectacular, and the decorations were amazing. The homecoming dance was truly out of this world.”
I agree as this was the best one yet that that I have experienced at CA. The Star Wars themed decorations made you feel like you were actually in a Star Wars movie. The talented DJ played great songs such as “Fein” by Travis Scott and “Party in the USA” by Miley Cyrus, which helped to heighten the atmosphere. It was a great dance, and I am looking forward to next year’s version.
