Before any Senior Night festivities could start, the Vikings had a job to do. Sailing through the course, the Viking runners cruised into the top 3 spots. Newark Catholic could not figure it out as the top Green Wave runner finished forty seconds after Sophie L. to claim fourth place. The Green Wave amassed nine more points than the Vikes, as, similar to golf, points are non-ideal. The Vikings solidified a 24-33 victory before celebrating the Class of 2025 with Cane’s chicken and a special cake.

Clara S. led the way for the Vikings, finishing ahead of the competition in 13:54. Not far behind her, Miranda B-Y. claimed silver with 13:56. Sophie L. cleaned up for the Vikings in third place in 14 minutes and 12 seconds. Claire C. rounded out the top 10 for the Vikings in sixth, finishing the course in 15:07.

The Vikings will return to action in Cedarville on Saturday, September 28, for the Cedarville Saturday Night Lights.
