Coming off of a red hot week, the Vikes faced off against a strong in-conference opponent in Worthington Christian, who they hosted in the Mack on Tuesday, September 10. The Vikings continued their momentum from last week, taking the first set by a score of 25-19. The Warriors were not fazed as they continued fighting, taking the second set 25-22. The Vikes and Warriors continued going back and forth, as the Vikes took the lead, winning the third set 25-20. The Warriors once again tied it all up winning the fourth set 25-19. For the fifth and final set, the Warriors prevailed, winning it by 25-23 and giving the Vikes their first in-conference loss.

On Thursday, September 12, the Vikings traveled to Buckeye Valley looking to upset the undefeated Barons in their toughest matchup yet. But the Barons struck first, taking the opening set by a close 23-25. The Vikes continued keeping it close in the second set, but eventually fell by 23-25. The Barons were too much for the Vikings as they caved  for the third and final set, not putting up much of a fight and losing by a rough score of 12-25, sweeping the Viking 3-0, and dropping their record to 6-2.

The Vikings travel to Bishop Ready on Wednesday, September 19, looking to defeat the Silver Knights for the second time this season.
