Win Streak Continues for Girls Tennis

The girls tennis team won its three matches against CSG away on Tuesday September 3, Olentangy Orange home on Wednesday, September 4, and Grandview home on Thursday, September 5, continuing the Vikings 7-win streak. 

In their intense match against CSG, the Vikes triumphed over the Unicorns 3-2. Tamanna A. won in second singles 6-3, 6-2, and Mary P. and Sophie W. won in first doubles 6-1, 1-6, 6-1, as well as Audrey L. and Lara W. defeating their matchup 6-1, 6-1 in second doubles, while Ella T. lost in first singles 7-6, 6-3, and Gabrielle S. fell 6-3, 7-6 to her opponent in third singles. 

The team beat Olentangy Orange 5-0. In first singles, Ella T. won 6-3, 6-0, while in second singles Gabrielle S. also crushed her matchup 6-1, 6-0. In third singles, Audrey L. easily defeated her competition 6-2, 6-0. In first and second doubles, Tammana A. and Sophie W. prevailed 2-6, 6-2, 6-4 and Mary P. and Lara W. won 5-7, 6-4, 1-0.

The team finished the week strong by dominating against Granville 5-0 at home. In singles, Gabrielle S. and Lara W. both went 6-0, 6-0, while Alina L. won 6-0, 6-1. In doubles, Tamanna A. and Ella T. won 6-0, 6-0 as well as Mary P. and Sophie W.

The girls tennis team has its next game at home on Monday, September 9, against Dublin Jerome.
