The boys from Hondros traveled to Whitehall to take on the Rams on Wednesday, September 4. The Vikes came out of the gates firing, taking advantage of the Rams poor defense which resulted in multiple scores in the first minutes. Later in the period, the Vikings offensive attack was back to work as they added a few more goals to notch their total to a 7-1 lead.

In the second period, the Vikings defense did not let up, allowing no goals throughout the rest of the game, paired with one lone goal in the second period for the Vikings and a 8-1 victory, putting them at 6-1-1 on the season.

The Vikes returned to Hondros field on Saturday, September 7, to face the Hawks of Horizon Science Academy. The contest started with little action as both defenses were creating issues for the offensive side of the ball; however, after initial struggles the Vikings offense started gaining momentum and scoring opportunities and as halftime approached the score read 2-0 with the Vikings leading. The second half proved more of the same for the Vikings stellar defense as they did not allow a single goal. The offense stepped up in the second half taking advantage of miscommunication by the Hawks own goal and goals by Nick D., Harry L., Jake S., and Lucca Y. The Vikings added one more final goal resulting in a 8-0 shutout victory.

As winners of three straight and standing at second in the CBL, the Vikings look to continue their successful season and gain another win as they travel to Olentangy to face the Berlin Bears on Tuesday, September 10.
