Beginning their preseason, girls tennis traveled to Cincinnati to play St. Ursula on August 13 and reigning state champions, Indian Hill on August 15. The matches resulted in a 1-1 record for the Vikes as they beat the Bulldogs 3-1 and fell 1-4 to the Braves. 

The team headed to the Eagles Invitational on Saturday, August 17, with doubles Tamanna A. and Sophie W. winning as the invitational doubles champions. 

The team was back in action at home on Tuesday, August 20, for a blowout against Olentangy Liberty. The Vikes aced this matchup 5-0, with highlights from Ella T.’s perfect score of  6-0, 6-0 in second singles, and Tamanna in first singles with a 6-0, 6-2 win. Additionally, Audrey L. beat her matchup 6-4, 6-3 in third singles and doubles team Gabby S. and Sophie won 7-5, 6-1 for first doubles.

The Vikes play at Whitehall on August 29.
