The girls volleyball squad played three games on Saturday, August 24, and finished at 1-2, dropping their record to 3-3 on the season. Beginning the first of three games, Academy faced Pleasant, and with a hot start by the Spartans won the first set 25-16. The Vikings were no different in the second set, losing again, 25-9.
The Vikings faced a second team, Delaware Hayes, later in the evening. The Pacers unrelented in both sets, winning both and ending with 25-19, giving the Vikes a 0-2 start.
For the final game of the weekend, Academy faced Ridgedale and won their first set , 25-10 and continued this streak defeating Ridgedale in the second set 25-15, capping off the weekend on a high note. Volleyball concludes the weekend finishing 1-2.
The Vikings will host Whitehall on Monday, August 29.
