On May 11, the girls lacrosse team traveled to Gahanna Lincoln to conclude its regular season, picking up a 20-9 victory over the Golden Lions. This win places the Vikes at 12-4. They also finished third in their conference with a 6-1 record.
The Vikes were missing goalie, Hannah S., due to illness, so freshmen Harper B. and Riley M. filled in. Both teams got off to slow starts, and the first half ended tied 0-0.
In the second half, Academy’s offense came alive, scoring all 20 of its goals in the period. Morgan H. and Mary P. led the team with seven total points each.
This victory extended the Vikes winning streak to five straight. Their postseason begins at home on Tuesday against Buckeye Valley, whom they recently beat 16-1.
