The week of January 9 was action-packed for our boys and girls bowling teams. On Tuesday, January 9, the Vikes faced Northland at HPL lanes. The boys lost 1834-1715. Adam R. led with 317, Adi S. followed with 302, Captain Josh K. had 272, Reed S. scored 262, and Mark D. netted 247. They fell in bakers 372-315. The girls also lost 1248-876. Morgan L. rolled ahead with 227 with Ellen H.’s 199 not far behind. Sophie F. got 175 and Lynn Y. finished the day with 136.

Friday, January 12 was the team’s long-awaited senior night as they battled Columbus International. The boys won 1634-1319. Adam placed first with a 342, Adi came in second for the team with 330, followed by Reed with 260, Josh with 197, and Mark and Henry W. combined for 254. The girls also beat the Lions 1186-1026. Ellen led with 261, Addy B. totaled 238, Sophie had 231, Morgan got 181, and Lynn rounded out the score with a 92.

Twenty Academy students came out to support their friends as the team and their classmates honored seniors Addy B., Rafael D-Z., Ellen, Sean J., Josh, Robbie L., Adam, Adi, Reed, and Henry. Friends and family later enjoyed pizza.

The girls will play Whitehall Yearling on Tuesday, January 16 at Holiday Lanes and Bexley at HP lanes on Wednesday, January 17. The boys have one game against Bexley also on Wednesday, January 17. Congratulations to our seniors!
