Hosting all the rounds of the Columbus Academy Sectionals this Wednesday, October 4 and Saturday, October 7, the rounds of 32 and 16 and the quarterfinals took place on Wednesday, and the semifinals and finals occurred on Saturday.

Tamanna A. steamrolled her way through the singles draw to first place, only giving up two games in all four of her matches. Gabby S. saw similar success, winning three of her four matches with only seven games surrendered until she finally lost in the semifinals and ended in third place. Yasemin B. & Arya C. dominated the court in the doubles draw, going 6-0, 6-0 in their first three matches and 6-2, 6-0 in the finals. Grace P. & Sophie W. were also flawless in their first three matches but came second after losing in the finals.

For the district tournament at Academy on Wednesday, October 11 and Saturday, October 14, the first seed from the CA sectional will play the fourth seed from the Columbus School for Girls sectional, the second seed will play the opposing third seed, and so on. In singles, Tammana is first and Gabby is second; in doubles, Yasemin & Arya are first and Grace & Sophie are second.
