Girls varsity tennis played four matches along with an invitational at Lexington on Saturday, September 23. The girls traveled to Dublin Jerome on Monday, September 18, hosted Columbus School for Girls on Tuesday, September 19, and competed at Olentangy Liberty on Wednesday, September 20 and Buckeye Valley on Thursday, September 21.
The Vikings won 4-1 against the Celtics on Monday, with a loss at second singles for Tamanna A. At first and third singles were Arya C. & Yasemin B., respectively, while Grace P. & Gabby S. and Malia C. & Sophie W. played first and second doubles, respectively.
The Vikes routed the Unicorns on Tuesday, with no CSG player or duo scoring more than 3 games in a set. Arya, Grace, and Tamanna were first, second, and third singles, respectively, and Gabby & Yasemin competed in first doubles while Malia & Sophie were second doubles.
CA dominated the Patriots on Wednesday and the Fighting Barons on Thursday, taking the cake in both matches 5-0.
At the Lexington Invitational, Tamanna placed 2nd in the first singles bracket, Arya & Yasemin won 1st in first doubles, Malia & Sophie placed 2nd in second doubles, and Gabby & Audrey L. finished 3rd in third doubles. The team achieved 2nd place overall.
