Coming off of a three-win streak, field hockey returned to Carlin Fields to face off against Bishop Watterson on Wednesday, September 6. After losing to them 1-0 last year, the Vikes were hungry for redemption. The defense held strong, limiting the Eagles’ chances to shoot. Goalie Sydney L. stood tall, shutting down Watterson’s shots on goal. The offense struggled to get past the Eagles defensive line, only shooting a couple of times. At the end of the 60 minutes, both teams remained goalless, resulting in a sudden death overtime. Academy failed to fend off the Eagles, once again losing 1-0.

On Saturday, September 9, the Vikes welcomed Bexley. The loss against Watterson three days prior fueled the team’s drive to win. The Vikes captured a 5-0 win with goals scored by Braydn C., Carson K. (assisted bt Katie N.), Katie N. (2, assisted by Lauren G.), and Caroline A. (assisted by Carson K.).

The Vikings play at Olentangy on Monday, September 11 and play at CSG on Thursday, September 15.
