Academy boys basketball started off its week with a close 41-46 loss against Bexley on Tuesday, January 17. The game began with a bang as Anderson D. scored the first points to get the Vikings on the scoreboard. By the end of the first quarter, the Lions led 9-12. The Vikings surged back in the second quarter to tie at 17-17. The Lions regained their lead heading into the final period 32-28, but Academy tied the score in the final quarter. But Bexley eventually powered through to win. Theo F. and MJ J. led the team with 11 and 14 points respectively. 

Academy bounced back on Saturday, January 21, beating Grandview Heights 44-41. The game was closely matched and remained even steadily. Theo, MJ, and Charlie H. led the team to victory with 13,11, and 10 points respectively.

The boys current record is 12-2. They play away against Northside Christian at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 24.
