The Aquavikes faced the Bexley Lions and the Teays Valley Vikings on Friday, January 20 and won the 200-medley relay with a time of 1:58.83. Olivia L. and Clara S. claimed gold and silver in the 200 free. Rene F. placed 2 in the 200 IM. Then Maddie E. and Ella L. placed 2nd and 3rd in the 50 free.
Olivia L. claimed silver in the 100 fly with a time of 1:04.61. Maddie E. won the 100 free at 58.81. Academy also won the 200 freestyle in 1:44.90. The team placed 2nd with 111 points.
The girls faced Whetstone on Saturday, January 21. Placing first were Olivia L. in the 200 IM, Maddie E. in the 50 free, and Ella L. in the100 fly. Rene F. claimed gold in the 500 in 6:31.49. The team won the 200 in 1:45.70. Ella L. also won the 100 back and Olivia triumphed in both 100 breast and the 400 freestyle to beat the competition with a time of 4:01.84.
After winning their last meet the Vikings are hoping for another great meet this week on Tuesday, January 24 at 5:00. The Vikings will be hosting DeSales and Granville only three days before their MSL championship next Saturday, January 28, at 10:00.
The girls host DeSales and Granville on Tuesday, January 24 at 5:00 p.m. and then compete in the MSL championship on January 28, at 10:00 a.m.
