Girls lacrosse had another strong week defeating the Columbus School for Girls on Tuesday, May 3, with a 21-9 win.
The team kept its momentum on Thursday, May 5, beating Pickerington Central 12-11 in overtime. Academy gained a 3-point lead by the end of the first half before Pickerington cameout blazing in the second half, quickly scoring 3 points itself. Both teams netted goals, but Pickerington gained another 3 points before the game’s last 5 minutes. In overtime, Pickerington had possession first and earned a free position. Freshman goalie, Hannah S, stopped the goal as Academy gained control and captain Evie G rushed the field and netted a win.
Girls lacrosse is 10-2 and plays Worthington Kilburne at home on Tuesday, May 10.
