On Tuesday, February 1, Academy’s varsity boys bowling team came up short in a defeat against Whitehall Yearling. CA scored 1732 to Whitehall’s 2428 after two games.
In game 1, Jacob M. led the team with 180 points, followed by Colin H., Kian J., Zecheriah K., and Ryan R., with 109, 104, 134, and 131, respectively.
In game 2, Jacob again bowled highest with a 256, while Colin, Kian, Zech, and Ryan grabbed 134, 84, 160, and 161, respectively. With an average individual increase in score of 27.4 points games 1 to 2, the team improved significantly over the course of the match, but it was not enough to beat Whitehall.
The boys and girls varsity teams play in the MSL’s tournament on Thursday, February 10, at 10:00 A.M. at the Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl on High St.
