On Friday, October 15, the varsity football team crushed rival at Bexley and increased its winning streak to 5. Academy dwarfed Bexley in passing yards, 95-25, rushing yards, 277-68, and points, 35-3.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Lions secured the only points of the game with a 27-yard field goal. The Vikes responded with 5 touchdowns in the second and third quarters. 

Carter James earned 3 of those touchdowns and led the team in rushing with 116 rushing yards. Henry Rubey rushed the next most with 78 yards and picked up 1 touchdown. Emmanuel Jenkins also grabbed a touchdown during a punt return. 

The Vikes face off next against Whitehall on Friday, October 22 at home.
