Thanks to everyone who supported our school’s KIDS 4 KIDS service tradition. Due to your generosity, 30 families and clients of the Helping Hands Food Pantry in Reynoldsburg will be served.
On Tuesday November 10, while many US students were home studying and teachers were collaborating, Service Board was helping our greater community. Helping Hands Food Pantry visited Academy to gather food collected from our Food Drive 2.0 for its clients. Afterwards, Service Board shapers, seniors Brady Hess, Jared Kass, and Graham Mallory restored the Athletic Lobby after a week’s of Food Drive moving, Sleep Out sorting, and Grade 7 selecting.
On Saturday, November 14, Academy delivered four full boxes of food, two bags of paper, personal, and cleaning products for each of the 10 families with children at Royal Manor Elementary School and 20 families with children with special needs at Childhood League Center. Bikes, repaired by middle school teacher Robbie Simpson and US students were also collected.
Thanks to CA faculty Sarah Hansen, Ali Hildahl, Matt McCue, Tim Morford, Sarah Penney and our students Naimeh Edwards’22, Autumn Lee’22 and seniors Olivia Pierre-Louis and Tsega Seleshi, who packed five vans early that morning. Special thanks to Coaches 7th grade basketball coaches, Barton Hacker and Cedra Evans, who let their team use practice time to load the vans with boxes. PACA representative, Kimberly Allison, met our Academy vans at Childhood League Center with another van filled with toys.
This Tuesday’s Tidy Up Tuesday includes recycling. Sign up outside of the SHACK, next door to Dr. Losambe’s office if you can help.
