On Saturday, October 24, our girls cross country team continued its stellar postseason performance at districts, hosted by Hilliard Darby.
Senior Regan Cornelius bolted to 7th place in with outstanding 19:53, clearing the 12th place individual cutoff to qualify for regionals. Samantha Frickel’23 and Julia DeVore’22 dashed into 33rd and 38th with 22:50 and 23:30, respectively. Ninth graders Caitlynn Hinds, Cat Gerst, and Maria Masek blew past the finish line in 23:49, 25:02, and 25:03, securing 41st, 45th, and 46th, respectively.
With an average time of 23:01 and a spread of 5:09, the team earned 7th, falling short of the 3rd place cutoff to qualify for regionals.
Cornelius advances to regionals as an individual and race against other top Division 2 runners on Saturday, October 31, at Pickerington North.
