On Saturday, October 24, the boys cross country team had a heartbreaking 4th place finish out of 8 teams just two points behind third at districts at Hilliard Darby (only 3 teams advance from districts). Seniors Luke Nester and Jake Huddleston qualified individually.
Nester dominated the field, with a time of 16:27.8, over 12 seconds ahead of second place. Huddleston also raced phenomenally, earning 7th place with a 17:04.9. Seniors Calvin Wade and Cooper Schnitzer came in next, clocking 17:59.2 and 18:07.7 for 24th and 25th. Juniors Cy Richardson and Peter Heermann secured 31st and 36th with 18:32.0 and 18:53.1, respectively.
Nester and Huddleston head to regionals on Saturday, October 31,the final meet before states.
