Two days after a huge comeback win against Hudson on Monday, October 12, the 14-1 Field Hockey team traveled to Bexley for the final game of the regular season.
Even though the squad already clinched the one-seed for the postseason tournament, the Vikes still wanted to go into the playoffs on the back of another win. So, the team fought hard all game against a stingy Bexley defense.
Even though our girls had possession within Bexley’s half for most of the game, the team just couldn’t find the back of the cage until Regan Cornelius’21 finally broke the deadlock late in the game. This goal was enough to seal the win for the Vikes.
After a strong 15-1 season, our girls will look to defend the team’s repeat state championship when its postseason starts up on Tuesday, October 20 against Dublin Coffman.
