Junior Sydni Ratliff is Academy’s first individual state tennis champ, having triumphed in the 2019 Girls Division 2 State Championship in Mason, Ohio.

Sydni’s final score was 6-4,7-5 against Cleveland’s Carly Cohen from Gilmour Academy.

After being runner up the past two years, Ratliff says, “I was really excited to finally win the title.”

Ratliff requested that her teammates join her on stage and during the flag’s hoist at the pole.
