Academy’s boys and girls golf squads achieved mid-ranked placings with standout individual scores.

Our girls had sectionals at Blacklick Woods on Monday, September 23. With a score of 402, they placed 4th out of 9 schools. The all-9th grade squad put up impressive individual numbers, led by Grace Luo with a 95, and closely followed by Eva Baker and Eliza Freytag, who both shot 101. Morgan Crain rounded out the top four with a 105.

On Saturday, September 28, our boys played in an invitational at the Muirfield Country Club and placed 6th out of 20 schools, with a 303. Seniors Griffin Mitchell lead with a 71 as Ali Khan and Matthew Cammeyer were back-to-back, earning a 74 and 75, respectively, and Kahmar Byers and Anay Reddy both snagged an 82.

The Vikings will head to districts, with our girls competing on Monday, September 30, at Darby Creek and our boys on Wednesday, October 2, at the Denison Golf Club.
