The CA girls soccer team had a magnificent week, winning both of their games and celebrating Senior Night before defeating their biggest rivals, the Bexley Lions. Emma Belford, Annalise Grammel, and Sarah Neltner were honored for their dedication to the program.
Fueled by this honor, the Vikings trounced the Unicorns 6-0. Katie Schiano’20 led the scorers with a hat trick, and fellow junior Olivia Archibald knocked in two goals. The most celebrated goal, however, came from Neltner, solidifying the Vikes’ victory and making Senior Night even more memorable.
Next up was a rivalry game at Bexley on Saturday, September 29. Continuing their winning streak, the Vikings tamed the Lions 1-0, with a goal by junior forward Olivia Archibald. CA had a strong defensive performance, with Sophie Spolter‘22 having multiple saves to keep the Lions shutout.
Next up for the Vikes is a home game on Wednesday, October 2, against Worthington Christian, followed by a Saturday, October 5, match at Bloom Carroll.
