CA continued its strong season as it went undefeated against two talented opponents. Our girls opened up the week with a 3-0 trounce over Johnston-Monroe on Monday, September 16. Sophomores Mary Kate Prall scored the first goal, and Emma Yakam netted two.
The Vikings looked to carry this momentum into a Saturday, September 21 match against West Liberty Salem, but the Tigers posed a challenge. The final score was 0-0, as both goalies played magnificently. The Vikes had several shots on goal, with both Yakam and Emma Belford’20 coming close to taking the lead. The game got physical multiple times, with Salem making illegal tackles on Belford throughout.
Next up for the Vikings is a Wednesday, September 25, match against Columbus School for Girls, followed by a Saturday, September 28 rivalry game at Bexley.
