When you think of the Short North, you think of exciting venues, people lining out of the doors of various new and trend-setting restaurants, so The Lox Bagel shop, located on High Street, is no exception.
The Lox opened its doors for the first time in mid-December, and since then has been gaining fans rapidly. Although the shop has a limited bagel menu, consisting of only three types of bagels, (everything, plain, and sea salt herb) there is a wide variety of sandwiches that would satisfy even the pickiest eater’s palate.
The sandwiches range from a classic lox sandwich, with smoked salmon and cream cheese to a hot pastrami sandwich, that includes mustard, pickled onion, swiss cheese, and well, pastrami.
The restaurant’s modern style has become a favotire of the local millennials.
The Lox opensat 8:30 am. However, if you are looking for a bagel around 10:30 am, you may be out of luck: the shop usually sells out of all bagels around ten, or even earlier on the weekends.
If you are looking for a great, quick yet exquisite bite to eat in the morning, stop by The Lox, I can promise you won’t regret it.
