In honor of Martin Luther King Jr., Service Board held its second blood drive of the year on Wednesday, January 16, collecting a record total of 43 units of blood. Donors dressed down in red clothing and were offered free Chris cakes for their generous donation.
It was a successful drive with the most donors since 2010, exceeding the goal of 35 units of blood by eight. Twenty-seven student donors gave blood, most of whom were first time donors, as well as a number of faculty members, including Mr. Olexio who donated 2 units.
Through the charitable donations of students and faculty, the blood drive will help save 129 lives in central Ohio.
