The Old Bag of Nails: A Classic Pub

With nine locations in the Central Ohio area, the closest The Old Bag of Nails to school is just 2.4 miles down the road at Creekside. One of the most interesting features of the restaurant’s inside is the ceiling: it is covered with signed playing cards. Every Saturday night, a magician visits the restaurant, and his signature trick is getting cards to stick to the ceiling. There is also an outdoor patio seating area that overlooks the pretty scenery of the creek and waterfall, as well as a private party room upstairs.

The Old Bag of Nails is probably best known for its British-style fish and chips ($13.99). It also offers other variations of fried seafood like shrimp and chips ($16.99) and scallops and chips ($16.99). For those who don’t like fish or seafood, there are lots of other options. Some mneu highlights include the hand-battered mushrooms appetizer ($8.99), the super mushroom and swiss burger ($10.99), the spinach salad ($5.99 or $8.99), the French dip ($11.99) and the chocolate milkshake ($3.75).

If you’re looking for a casual restaurant with good-sized portions, a variety of food on the menu and several different seating options, The Old Bag of Nails is just the place.
