The girls tennis squad was scheduled to play a Division 2 rival, Wellington, on Monday, September 17, but the match was postponed due to the rain. This meant the only play of the week would be against the school’s arch-rival, Bexley.

On Friday, September 21, the Vikes hosted the Lions for Academy’s Senior Night. Honored were Himaja Reddy, Maddie Tuckerman and Haylee White, who have been instrumental in the team’s success. The Vikes defeated Bexley 4-1, finishing their league play undefeated. Key singles wins came from Carmen Merkel’22, and Alex Graham’20, who were victorious in their respective courts. The senior Vikes got to enjoy outplaying the Lions one last time.

The girls travel to Grandview Heights on Tuesday, September 25, and face Olentangy Liberty at home on Wednesday, September 26.
