The CA boys bowling team’s season came to an end on Friday, February 16, as the Vikes competed in the Division 2 Sectional tournament at HP Lanes.
Due to other school commitments and illnesses, the team could not field the eight players necessary to put for team score, and instead competed as individuals. Senior Michael Reagan represented Academy well, bowling a 480 in three games played, just 30 pins off of a top-20 finish.
Other bowlers competing were freshmen Xander Wood and Cole Leis, as well as sophomore Michael Hoffman, who all put forth solid performances. Wood finished in 82nd, Leis took 104th, and Hoffman placed 109th out of a total of 186 total bowlers.
Though the squad did not succeed in any matched this year, the Vikings hope to move forward and continue developing the younger athletes in the program for the coming years.
