The Striking Vikings traveled to Tiki Lanes to take on Lancaster on Tuesday, January 23.

Although the boys team lost its match 1520-1784, the Vikes put up a strong effort, led by senior Michael Reagan’s season-high 378 pins in two games.

The girls team was faced with the tough task of only having four bowlers present for the match against Lancaster, compared to the typical six. This put the squad at an immediate disadvantage and led to a 992-1725 defeat.

The teams then hit the road again on Thursday, January 25, to battle Hilliard Bradley at Wayne Webb’s Columbus Bowl.

The boys put up its second best score of the season, bowling a 1585, but it wasn’t enough to beat the dominant Jaguars, who rolled a 2056.

The girls returned to full strength, but Hilliard Bradley was too much for them as well, defeating the Vikings, 1284-1754.

CA returns home next week to take on the top-ranked Hilliard Darby Panthers at HP Lanes on Tuesday, January 30. The team then has several days of practice before going to the annual MSL Bowling Championship on Saturday, February 3.
