Both the boys and girls bowling teams started off the new year by traveling to HP Lanes to take on Worthington Kilbourne on Friday, January 5. The boys team fell, 1433-2082, in part due to Evan Place’s dominant 207-pin performance for the Lobos. The girls team also dropped its match, 1187-1724, despite a season-best of 146 pins by junior Aylah Mendenhall.

Both Vikes returned to HP Lanes to take on Reynoldsburg on Tuesday, January 9, looking for different results.

The Vikings came out hot, with Michael Reagan’18, Michael Hoffman’20, and Josh Tu’21 all bowling above 150 pins in their first game. Unfortunately, the boys weren’t able to capitalize on the momentum, losing the match, 1439-1827.

The girls team also went toe-to-toe with the Raiders, but weren’t able to pull out with a victory, falling, 1265-1490.

The boys and girls’ teams are each looking to pick up their first win of 2018, as they face off against Thomas Worthington at Capri Lanes on Tuesday, January 16.
