Following a signature win against Bishop Rosecrans, the Vikes hoped to capitalize on their momentum heading into a clash against Worthington Christian on Wednesday, September 6.
The girls took on the Warriors at Grace Brethren Church, hoping to avenge last year’s 3-0 loss to the defending MSL champions.
Despite not coming out with the win, Academy secured a 1-1 tie. Senior Muriel Goldfarb scored the lone goal for the Vikes on an assist from freshman Katie Schiano. On the defensive end, star senior goalkeeper Kyra Zoog made several spectacular saves to hold the explosive Warriors to just one goal.
Academy has started off the season strong, and they look to return to the win column when they host Cristo Rey on Monday, September 11.
