The boys tennis team swept their three matches this week, while another was rained out. It was a great run, as the boys bounced back from their season-opening loss to St. Xavier.
On Monday, April 3, the Vikings hosted West Jefferson and triumphed in all 5 matches, winning with emphasis.
On Tuesday, April 4, Whitehall hosted the Vikings, who swept the match, winning 5-0. Austin Lawrence’17 won his match 6-0, 6-1, and the rest of the boys won all of their sets.
On Wednesday, April 5, the Vikes traveled to Lexington to take on the Minutemen. Lexington made the match a bit more interesting than Whitehall, but Academy still dominated, winning 5-0. No player took more than three games from the Vikings in a set.
The rained out Dublin Jerome match on Thursday, April 6, will be rescheduled.
