It was senior night for the Vikings on Thursday, February 9, as they faced off in a quad meet against Cristo Rey, Northridge, and Grandview Heights.

The night started off with the recognition of senior captains Jeremiah Mills and Anthony Sugar, both of whom are injured and could not compete at this last home match. But this didn’t affect their ability to smile and cheer on their teammates.

The Vikes got back on track on Thursday with some impressive performances on the mats. Angus Soderberg ‘18, Josh Pearson ‘18, and Thomas Jones ‘19 took care of business in their first match, each with a pin within the first minute.

The team’s many new members have learned that when they are relaxed and loose, they perform the highest. Let’s hope they can remember this as they head into post-season.
