With a win for the boy and girl’s teams on Wednesday, the Aquatic Vikes went into Saturday’s competition with high hopes.
On Saturday January 14, the best swimmers for our team, as well as top swimmers from schools around the state, traveled to Canton, Ohio for an intense day of swimming. Serving as a kind of warm up for the states, this past weekend was the toughest meet of the regular season.
The boy took home a phenominal championship. On top of such great team results, swimmers Max Dreisbach’18, Nate Goldfarb’17, Jack Campbell’19, and Jacob Eismann’19, got the meet record and the school record in the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:35.24.
Audrey Grammel also stole the school record in the 100 breaststroke, with a 1:06.03.
Other fantastic swims included Mike DeAscentis’20, who placed 5th in the 500-yard freestyle, Goldfarb, who placed 3rd in the 100-yard breaststroke, and Eismann who placed 2nd in the 100-yard backstroke.
Congratulations, Vikes!
