Girls soccer undefeated run came to an end on Saturday, September 26, falling 0-2 to rivals, the Bexley Lions. The Vikings entered the match with a 6-0-2 winning streak.

The Vikings faced the Lions, who entered the game with a season record of 7-2-1. The game was originally scheduled for Wednesday of that week, but a torrential downpour forced the game’s cancellation. The rescheduled match on Saturday had perfect weather, but the Vikings just could not find momentum.

“The intensity was there. We just weren’t connecting, and I feel like that’s what resulted in our loss,” said Avery M. “We’ll just practice more and come back stronger for our game on Monday against Desales.”

The loss brings the team to a 6-1-2 record. The team is looking to get back on track against Desales on Monday, September 28.
