The boys golf team opened their season with two top-three finishes in their Central Buckeye League tournaments. The team finished second overall at the CBL #1 tournament, followed by a third place finish at CBL #2, giving the team momentum as the season continued. 

The boys played CBL #1 at Denison Golf Club, the team finished second with a total of 332. Arjun Kumar led the way with a 78, followed by Kevin Klingerman with an 82 and Gavin Snook with an 83. Daniel Uriel finished with an 89, while Arnav Edamadaka rounded out the team with a 97. 

The team continued its success into CBL #2 played at Darby Creek Golf Course, finishing third overall with a score of 327. Kumar and Klingerman lead the way again shooting a pair of 80. Hunter Freytag followed closely with an 82, while Tyler Frickel posted an 85. Gavin Snook and Emerson Rhee each contributed an 86. 

Senior and Captain Hunter Freytag mentions that “playing practice rounds, strengthening the weaknesses in each of our games, and building team camaraderie through team meals” helps prepare their team for the postseason. 

With the post-season coming up shortly, their momentum from each CBL tournament and finishing first overall in the Central Buckeye League should propel them through the post season.
