At the Kallner Invitational on Saturday, April 25, Academy delivered several strong performances across events, leaning on its distance runners and field athletes to pace the meet with consistency.
Chris H. placed first place in the 3200, breaking away late to win in 9:52 and secure Academy’s top performance of the day. Andy B. doubled in the distance events, grinding to 18th in the 1600m (5:09) before returning for an eighth-place finish in the 3200m (10:54). Ryan W. added a steady effort in the 1600m, finishing 24th in 5:28.
In field events, Cody H. launched a throw of 145 feet to claim second place indiscus, while Claire H. battled to a 14th-place finish in the girls 800m run with a time of 2:55, becoming the only Academy girl to place at the meet. Desmond W. also competed in the boys 200m dash, clocking a 27.21.
