Girls lacrosse went undefeated this week, going 2-0 against the Granville Blue Aces and against Hathaway’s Brown Blazers.

On Tuesday, April 21, the Vikes played Granville at home, where they won 19-2 over the then 5-3 Blue Aces. Some of the Academy goal scorers were Camille B., Lexi F., Caroline M., Katie N., Bebe S., Kyndal S., and Katie W.

On Saturday, April 25, the girls headed north to Shaker Heights to play Hathaway Brown. The Vikings survived, winning 13-10 against the then 5-5 Blazers. Some of the game’s scores were from  Kyndal S., who had four goals, Caroline M., who scored 2, and Lexi F., Ava M., Katie N., Bebe S., and Katie W. also contributed goals.

Junior Lila P. says, “In both of our games this week, we focused on playing with effort and intensity, and it definitely has paid off. We were happy that we won against Hathaway Brown, and I think it proves that we’re prepared for more challenging teams moving into our game against DeSales on Monday.”

The girls improved to 8-2 on the season with a 4-0 conference record. This week, the team faces off in three matchups. On Monday, April 27, the girls play away against the 12-1 St. Francis DeSales Stallions at 7 p.m. On Thursday, April 30, the Vikings travel to Bexley to play against the 4-3 CSG Unicorns at 5 p.m. And on Saturday, May 2, the team hosts the 6-5 Wooster Generals at 2 P.M.
