Boys Tennis Extends Winning Record with Dominant Week

After another successful week of competition, the Vikes improved their overall record to 6-5 with commanding victories on Tuesday, April 21, and Thursday, April 23.

The week began on Tuesday with a dominant 5-0 sweep over Franklin Heights. The Vikes controlled every match, with all five positions winning by identical 6-0, 6-0 scores to complete a perfect team performance.

The momentum continued on Thursday as the Vikings defeated Grandview 5-0. In singles play, Sujay B. led the way with a strong 6-2, 6-0 victory at first singles, while Arjun S. cruised to a flawless 6-0, 6-0 win in the second spot. Jackson A. added another point at third singles, winning 6-1, 6-0.

The doubles teams were equally impressive. Ian C. and Jayden T. earned a decisive 6-1, 6-0 win at first doubles, while Arnav E. and Luke P. secured a 6-1, 6-1 victory at second doubles over the Bobcats.

Now carrying a two-match winning streak, the Vikes look ahead to a challenging six-match week. The stretch includes two away matches in Toledo on Saturday, May 2, against Ottawa Hills and St. John’s Jesuit as the team continues its push through the season.
