Girls lacrosse team captured a 17-1 victory over the Barons at home on Tuesday, April 14, with goals from Camille B., Lexi F., Caroline M., Katie N., Lila P., Bebe S., Kendal S., and Katie W., improving its record to 6-2.

The team’s away game on Saturday, April 18, against the Indian Hill Braves was cancelled.

 Other news from the week was Kyndal S. being one of 14 athletes nominated for The Columbus Dispatch’s  “Girls Athlete of the Week” for her impressive plays against Lincoln last week, which featured six goals, seven draw controls, three ground balls, and two caused turnovers.

Junior captain Katie N. says, “The team had some super fun games this past week, and I think that we have really improved with our assisting and ground balls. This is going to help us a lot when we play HB on Saturday.”

The Vikings will face off in three games, beginning on Tuesday, April 21, against Granville’s Blue Aces at home at 7 p.m., followed by Worthington Kilbourne Wolves, also at home on Wednesday, April 22, at 7:00 p.m., and away on Saturday, April 25, at Shaker Heights to match up against the Hathaway Brown Blazers at 12 p.m.
