As seniors this year, my classmates and I have had the opportunity to take part in one of the best Columbus Academy traditions there is. The Senior and Kindergarten Buddy program has been something I have looked forward to since I arrived in preschool. There is a special feeling of community when the entirety of the school comes together on the Quad and commences the new year, the highlight being the announcement of the pairing of kindergartners and their seniors. From this point forward, we seniors stand as role models to our buddies as we take part in pep rallies, pumpkin and turkey apple decorating, puzzle challenges, and fun time on the playground. I have cherished these moments and frequently find myself reflecting on my time as a kindergartener, recognizing that to experience this tradition from both perspectives is something that I know I will cherish the rest of my life.
