The Vikes kept the ball rolling on Tuesday, January 20, with their 14-game winning streak on the line. The game started unsteadily, with Worthington Christian even gaining a small lead. But a timeout changed everything for the Vikes. The moment the team stepped back onto the court, they dominated possession, leaving the Warriors unable to acclimate. Gia C. commanded the offensive effort, shooting 17 points and continuing her run of having two or more steals per game for an eighth match. Kendall also proved to be a strong asset with 16 points on the board.

The Vikings concluded with a 64-37 victory, with Katie N. describing it as a “showcase of our ability to adjust and charge towards a win.”

Moving forward and fueled with motivation from Friday’s pep rally, the Vikes crushed Buckeye Valley 58-36 on January 23. Kendall took command from the beginning, earning 20 total points and leading the Vikes to a 15-point lead at halftime. Gia and Allison F. also dominated, scoring 17 and 13 points, respectively.

Kyndal S. says, “Beating the Barons marked our 16th consecutive win, and we are working hard to keep it going.”

The team will be on the road to play rival Bexley on Monday, January 26, as well as Grandview Heights on Thursday, January 29.
