In its final home game of the season, field hockey captured a dominant home victory over Lancaster on Thursday, October 19, advancing to the next round of playoffs, beating the Golden Gales 8-0. Maren S. led the Vikes in scoring with a hat trick, followed by Sidney J. with two goals, and one-a-piece from Alicia L., Bebe S., and Sophia S. The game also marked the team’s annual pink-out play, with players wearing pink accessories including pink hair dye and arm bands, and its last ever for the seniors.

”It was nice to get such a great win as it was the seniors last game on Carlin. We will definitely take this momentum into Tuesday’s game,” says senior captain, Caroline M.

The Vikes return to action next Tuesday, October 21, when they travel to Upper Arlington to face the Golden Bears, who are 15-2-1–and coming off a 7-0 victory over Dublin Jerome.
