Girls Golf Prevails in Dual Matches

The girls golf team competed in two dual matches this week, winning the both by a large margin against Worthington Christian and Bexley. They first traveled to Champions Golf Course on Tuesday, September 9, to face off against Worthington Christian in a nine-hole dual match. They won with ease firing a 153, which bested Worthington Christian’s 257. Eva L. led the Vikes with an even par 35, followed by Nala C. with a 36. Rosemary J. and Claire Z. rounded out the top four with a pair of 41’s. 

The girls next headed to the back nine at Blacklick on Thursday, September 11, where the team bested the lions 157 to 202 in another nine-hole dual match. The Viking’s top four scores featured Nala C. with a 37, Eva L. and Claire Z. with a 39, and Niya C. with a 42. 

Junior Eva L. says, “We’ve continued to do well in our most recent invitationals, with a team win and Nala’s first place individually at the Worthington Christian Invitational, along with my first place at the Worthington Invitational. I’m super proud of the team, and I’m excited to see how we do in post-season.”
